A few of of my favorite images

These are images from one of my favorite artists, Remedios Varo. She was a comtemporary of most the surrealist painters we know. She was born in 1908 in Anglés Cataluña Spain. She died 1963 in Mexico City. She migrated to France to France at the start of the Spanish civil war, then to Mexico to escape Nazi occupation.. Though she was taught by Salvado Dali, she is one of the least known surrealist painter.

Her work is very spiritual. She was known to concentrate upon her work. She had a rich and complicated inner world, and tended to ignore the world around her. She also had a chance to converse with some of the great thinkers of her time.

Here are a few of her images.

A thought

Between shedding like crazy and getting bitten mysteriously by things, I have time to ponder the pointless yet interesting abstractions of life. My friend and I were talking the other night about metaphysical/ phyics things, and we stumbled upon a mystery.

Electricity. We can understand gravity, atomic compisitions of water and even DNA. Heck we know what's in a cell, and we've even decoded the entire DNA make up of our species. Yet we still don't really understand electricity.

For instance, it ends up equally zero. It's like anti-matter. Infact if you were to add up all the matter and anti-matter in the universe, you'd get zero. So how can something exist without mass? Sure we've figured out how to harness, use it, and contain it, obviously. But we don't really understand how the force itself works. What makes it tick deep down.

I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around the idea. There are many mysteries in physics, and I will figure them out, one day.

Grand Entrance

Hello ya'll, this is what I hope to be the first of many Entries on here, sharing with all you wonderful people out there ( and even all you not so wonderful people, ;)). Ya'll can call me GC, Geeky Chica, or heck, anything you can say infront of your grandparents. I don't really care to be honest. A name is just a name after all, it's nothing personal.

I Hope to show you the world the way a geek, A PROUD geek sees it. A geek that can be quite the ham at that. I'll probably try to do one cool quote a week, or any issues that arise that I wish to have feedback on. If no one responds, well, I'll just talk to myself. It wouldn't be the first time.

You wil also see a Cat on here frequently. That's my baby and consider her your personal guide to my perceptions of the word. Don't be disturbed, please. Don't be shy. Ya'll come back ya hear?!

^_^
